87 cutlass lq4 questions...
im qoing with a carburated lq4 this might be a silly question but do I need anything else besides the msd 6010 box and 60101 harness to wire the car or do i need some kind of wiring harness?
Also, Can i bolt the motor directly to the 2004r with just the f body flexplate and gm crank spacer? or do i need anything else?
Eventually im goin to swap in a th350 can i use the same flexpate and spacer on this application?
Also, Do i need and fuel or brake line mods or do they bolt right up?
these are my 2 biggest concerns!!
i need some help asap. if any of guys are able to offer any better suggestions or just simply answer my questions I would greatly appreciate it.

Pretty easy swap with the LS swap engine motor mounts on a G-body from what I have heard.
I would change the cam... on that 5.3 before I swap the motor. Find a used Z06 cam for about 100.00 bucks and change the springs... you will pick up a easy 50hp with a decent exhaust system.

Unless you're build is a track specific car or will see very limited street time, why not keep the 2004r ? There are other g-body build threads here if you search, i think 84cutlass supreme (in Austrailia) has a car'b 6.0, good luck with your swap.

Brp and several others have the mounts you need. idk if you're speaking from personal experience or what you've read & heard, but i've got a built 700r4 behind my 450 hp 550ft lb 468 with no problems and have'nt had any with a properly built 2004r. If you need more convincing take a peek at Car Craft's march 2009 issue, and let Art Carr convince you; 2004r 1000hp blown big block. Weak

While i agree with tha statement, if you're driving your car enough the xtra money is easily justified, drive just one cruise night and you gotta get on the e-way with that good ole th350 or th400 and you're pissed !!! Gotta trailer ??? you're gonna need one lmao so while im driving my STREET & STRIP car to the track sombody's gonna be towing theirs. I live in Chicago and Turbo Terry Transmissions does 2004r's for about $ 1500 that includes a converter, I believe his comparably equipped th350 runs $ 750 (MAYBE LESS) without a converter. When i was a kid every 355 or 383 i built had a th350 behind it !!!!! I'm all grown up now lmao and i really wanna drive and enjoy my money, labor, time pit of a car. And thats just my .02

drive thru's, hiway, big city traffic, etc. 4k stall 3.73 gears and all that with a carb. and mech fan. no ps., roll down windows.
you know, what i beleive is the real muscle car experience
so i guess it depends what the op can tolerate, i for one got no probs. with it. and if had to use strong a4, i would just pay for 80e.
