Default Engine will not stay running at idle...

4L60E, GMP Hot cam, bbk intake and TB and the ecm was tuned for the cam. Its weird, it idled fine when it first fired. but now it doesnt fire unless I have the throttle open part way, and when I let off it dies... the MAL light isnt on, no trouble code either.

Does it have a loose vacuum line? Any holes between the MAF and TB?

No loose vacuum line. Only vacuum line is the brake booster, the rest are plugged. It might be the connection between the tb and maf. I have a bolt on style maf, sets in place with set screws. maybe thats the problem...

sounds like you need to do a idle relearn. Also try pulling the IAC out and making sure it is clean.

It's a 98 f body ls1 and ECM with a standalone harness and 4l60e. Running a bbk tb with a cable. It idled fine at initial start up, then disconnected the bat to do some work. Now it won't idle at all. And it only starts holding the throttle open while cranking. I'm still
green to the ls motors, so bear with me...

Take it out and drive it some. My car will do that when the battery goes dead when it sits over the winter, I have to keep it running. But after i drive it for awhile it goes back to normal.

Ok well I was able to take it out for a drive, drove it for awhile. It seems to be on and off like when ever it wants to stop idling. Sometimes it stalls, sometimes it doesn't. Waitformeperformance did my ecm. Ill try to give him a call..
