id go with 6.0,, bigger cubes,, and can use the monster l92 heads,
dont waste money on a ls6, buy a ls1 short block and buy some used 799,243 heads, put them on save money.. basically same thing as ls6,going to get same power,, ur choice of cam.. id buy 6.0 short block maybe est 600 bucks, do some shopping maybe get it less, then buy l92 heads for maybe 500-600 for whole complete heads. ur choice of cam thats 550hp at crank.. search button does wonder's and google..

there is a set of L92 with rockers for 495+shipping in the lsx classfied section you can get a ported set around 1100 assembled i think even if you dont want L92 id still say LQ4 or LQ9 and buy some tfs 235's or something along those line so you can run a fast 92/92

injectors are sized for wat power u want or plan to make..

all lsx motors interchange,, externally.. ls1,ls2,ls3,ly6,lq4,lq4, all interchange.. u could use any headers for a ls1 if they fit ur application, ex..chevelle,camaro, what ever car u put it in..

"google" and "search" button is ur "friend"

""""where do you find complete l92's for 500-600 ?""

ebay, mostly here on the classifields,, just takes time to search them, yea cnc ported l92 heads ,ive seen graph number flowing 370 cfm, thats huge,, they will run u more around $1200

LS2 will bolt right up, but there is alot of work getting it to work. Everything else is pretty easy.

My bad. Looks like I'm going to be spending 500 more on my build. Mine blew a couple weeks ago and have been looking at options seems lq4 is most bang for your buck I want to do l92's with a tr230 not sure if the ls6 intake would bolt up or what else to watch out for. New at this game surely there's someone on this site that's got this setup in a fbody

The ls6 intakes are cathedral ports, the l92's are square, ls7 like ports.

You don't really need the L92 heads to get 400 hp at the wheels. Just using the stock heads and putting in a more agressive cam will give you near 500 crank HP. Several car mags have written articles to that end.
