ls1/4l60e Iroc swap
I have been a member for a while, but havent really posted much of my progress. I swapped an 02 Ls1 with a 4l60e into my 86 Iroc. I also swapped the interior. I couldnt have dont it without the guidance I got from alot of writeups (especially TPI TERROR & ghettocruiser).

the thing that worries me about moving the O2 down the header is that, if im able to compensate the AFR with a tune. Im trying to keep the car running clean so i can pass cali smog crap!. I know i cant have L/T but im not worried about that its the sniffer. I heard of banging the crap out of the pass floor board to fit the O2. Any thought?

the headers were designed around a 6 spd car.
banging in the floor pan wont do any good on the passenger side. the o2 sensor is angled towards the transmission.
i have mine plugged and have a fitting welded in my y pipe about 3" off the collector.
its not optimal, but i dont think there is that much difference in the reading.
i still see changes when i make changes, even if its a few tenths off.
not going to blow a motor or have trouble tuning because of the location.

I was also going to relocate it to the y pipe, but I wanted the most accurate reading so I just made another bung in the same location, just on the bottom of the header, where it wouldnt hit the trans.

I finally got the car tuned today. It was tuned by Ryan Performance Machines (RPM) in Garner, NC. It made 378rwhp and 384rwtq uncorrected and 367rwhp and 375rwtq corrected. I am happy with the results, since its a cam only stalled auto. Well here is a video of today.
