Default Spectre fuel injected tank

Just thought I would pass on a deal I found at rockauto.com. They have the Spectre GM32BFI fuel injected tank for $317 (they now only have 3 left). The link is below and the discount code gets you another 5% off (I got the code from an Impala ss forum). I have ordered from rockauto several times and never had a problem and the discount will owrk for any other parts you order. I would only watch the shipping charges. They are reasonable but as you add different items from different warehouses the shipping adds up.

Discount code - 41261693397541

Did spectre fix the baffle issues yet? If not good luck under 1/4 of a tank... last I heard, they still had issues or hit or miss......

Does anyone know if Spectra is fixing the starvation issues? Has anyone come up with a fix themselves? Also, would this fit a 67 camaro even if it's for a 69? Sorry what is the diff?

Thanks...

Maybe that's why they are running the deal to get rid of the old ones.

UPDATE I POSTED ON CAMAROS.NET...

I just spoke with a Spectra Rep in Canada. She said that the tanks have been fixed by extending the "sending unit" (I think she meant pick up tube) so that there is no fuel starvation issue. She said that there are prototypes out there and that the public should be getting them by late November, the 22nd to be exact. All of the defective units have been "re-called" and are off the shelves at your local distributors. I forgot to ask about those of you who have already purchased a defective unit, sorry guys. But I was told that vendors here in California include Advanced Auto, Napa, Kragen, Pep Boys etc. Maybe they can help? I am really hoping that the new tanks work well because I'm not looking to spend $1,200 on a gas tank (even though they are VERY beautiful pieces and if I had the funds to toss at it I would) Anyway, hope this helps someone out there who is in the same boat as me, wondering what happened to the Spectra Tanks

I got one from spectra a few weeks ago, came in damaged, but before it was picked up, I pulled the pump and the fuel pickup has the sock resting on the bottom. If you get one, there is a high chance yours will be damaged in shippment also, they seem to leave the filler(A-body), unprotected outside the box, a cardboard tube does little of nothing to protect it (filler neck) from freight damage.

So what does the inside of one of those tanks look like? No baffles at all?
