Trailblazer LS2 AC Compressor TRSA12
Does anyone have any pics or know the dimensions on the TRSA12 compressor that came on the LS2 Trailblazer SSs? It looks smaller than a Sanden 508 or SD7 and it's a fixed displacement scroll type design. I can't find dimensions anywhere. I'm thinking about picking one up for my LY6-> Nova swap to hook up to a Vintage Air setup. There seem to be pad to o-ring adapters I could use for hooking up the lines. I'm mostly interested in the dimensions as mounted to the engine. Any info is appreciated!

Check out vintage air catalogue online, page 57. They have a new compressor, Sanden, that has the F-body mounts just like stock, appears to be small in diameter, like you need.......would post the link, but don't know if that's allowed.....

The reason I'm interested in the TRSA compressor is that I can get one used for $50-60, it will line up with my truck accessory drive using the Trailblazer brackets, and it appears (at least in picture) to be smaller than a 508 or SD7. It's a fixed displacement design and even though it displaces less per rev than a typical 508 or SD7H15, it uses a smaller pulley and runs faster so the flow rate is about the same. Seems like a good option to me.

I thought we couldn't run factory AC compressors as they are concidered " climate control". I have no idea what it means. It would be nice to clearify for future reference.

A lot of the new vehicle compressors are variable displacement. I believe there are ways to make them work for an older AC system, but fixed displacement compressors like the sanden 508 and sd7 series are more popular for retrofits. The compressor I'm asking about is supposably fixed displacement (according to the Sanden website) and I presume it would work fine.

TBSS TRSA12B Compressor Mounting
Sorry to bring this back, but....
Has any one found a bracket that will allow the use of the TRSA12B compressor to mount to an LS2 in the low position similar to the factory TBSS bracket?
I am running the truck oil pan and do not have the bosses like the TBSS mount requires for the lower holes in the compressor bracket.
Thank you,
Bob
