Default T-5 speed + LS1 anyone done it

Just curious if anyone makes a bellhousing and clutch setup to bolt a mustang T-5 up to a LS1?

Default T5

I'm not talking about a stock t5. It could be a worldclass a tremec or whatever. I heard someone is making bellhousings to bolt those trans up to LS so you can keep it a cable style clutch.

You got me. I do miss my cable clutch with a passion. This hydrolic bullshit is for the birds.

Default T5

Just found it. Quicktime bells make a bell to adapt tremec or T5 to an LS motor and use a cable style clutch in a mustang.

Unless its a bone stock 4.8 i think its going to break faster than you can replace it.

Hey maybe look into cable driven clutch for the t56? May be easier than a t5 on an ls.

If you start with a GM T5, then you should not have any fitment issues. It's been done many times. As for strength, I would think a T5 with G-Force internals would last a long time behind an LSx engine in a Fox Mustang.
