Are you referring to an 4th Gen F-Body LS1 pan ?.. if so. and the pan modification is the to lower sump area.. then it should not effect or be a clearance problem with the F-body LS1 Windage tray. You should be able to continue using one.
If using a F-Body LS1 pan, then you will have to continue using the 3/4 F-Body tray due to the F-Body pan having a very shallow front sump area in the pan.
Or as Steve did, not use one... Should not really effect performance until you start getting into the higher RPM Range.

You can cut a full one down to 3/4 if you need to. but they are pertty cheap if you have to buy the correct one.
But the lower Baffle is important to contain the oil into the sump during braking, takeoff and turning.. Also lowering the oil capacity can be a problem both for High RPM operation and the oil breaking down.

In my brothers 68, that I helped build, we started the swap at the same time as the full resto, we used a modified pan just like what is shown in post 9. The engine lasted 6+ years, being thrashed on hard. We bumped the cam up to a MS4 and after being retuned, it ended up with a spun rod bearing due to oil starvation. We put an Iron LS2 in it, 243 heads, fast 102 w/ fast throttlebody, and new exhaust, that engine is about to turn 2 years runing on same oil pan without the baffle. Needed? Not in my opinion, but if you have a baffle, why not mod it to fit anyways?

Lets cut to the chase!.. (These are IMO, so don't burn me guys, just my option ! ).
You ask ?, ...
- Do you need them ?..... No, not really !
- Do you want them ? .... Most likely Yes !... But for normal type of a Daily Driver.. no real advantage.. and can get away without them.
- Why would I want a Windage tray?,... Cause if you start to get in to the higher RPM Range. you want a Windage tray to help out to control internal windage and oil mist in the crank case, which can will help increase engine efficency and output.
- Why would I want that lower oil pan Baffle ?... If you start making hard turns, Stop and starts. Again you will want one. It helps keep the oil in the lower sump area and assist with keeping the engine from oil starvation.
But, its your Choice..
