Default 73 caprice vert getting ls6

Hey guys i'm starting my second ls swap project. This is my 73 chevy caprice weekend cruiser that's getting the ls6 engine and 350 trans. I'll post pics as I go.here's a few

Nice way to update an old cruiser. Thought about using a 700r4 or a 4L60? That way you can use a gear to get the boat moving and still get some semblance of gas mileage......just a thought.

I plan on going with the 700r4 a little later cause i put a new 350 trans in it last summer. Thanks

Thank you. Here are a few pics,i started yesterday pulling the engine out and today we installed the ls6. This car has lots of room under the hood and looks like its gonna be a very easy swap.We moved the mounts back 1'' and it worked out perfect,didn't move the trans nor drive shaft.

Is that a fiberglass dash pad? Looks like you already got alot of work in that car already.

Yes i fiberglassed the dash pad and had it painted.I did the upholstery,installed a dakota dash and put a new top on it the year before last.

I always have loved the white interiors, they are super clean. I'd be deathly afraid to actually sit in it though for fear of getting it dirty

Hey I know this is a old post but I'm doing a swap on my 73. My options are the 350/400 and maybe the l60 transmission. My question is how did your 73 hold up with the 350 and what mods did you have to take on to make the engine work in the car... thanks
