Default LQ4 from a van, need a hat!!!

My LQ4 came from an 03' van so it doesn't have the nice Vortec cover over the manifold. Anybody got one just laying around and want to depart with it? Has anyone using a trk manifold found any good covers for the manifold and coil packs? Thanks
Rick

I know some of the vans intakes don't have the plastic post cast for the early style intake covers retaining bracket. Check first before you buy one.

The later 3 piece style covers the coils as well. But need the holes on the valve covers for them.

Bo185, can u be more specific. Suppose to be a mounting bracket on the back of the manifold? I'll look at my 5.3 in my 06 z71.

oct03gto. If yours will fit, I'd be happy to buy it from ya.....I need something.

The three bolts in the top left of the 1st pic hold down the bracket. The bracket just has hooks that the hat slides into. I wonder if there's a custom flat hat for those of us running a truck intake, but not enough room for a couple of extra inches? I guess it wouldn't be too hard to make something that would work.

The last 6.0L I sold, out of a 2006 Van didn't have the front post cast in the intake. Its the post just aft of the EVAP valve. Also it won't have the rear hold down bracket on there as it only came with trucks with the cover, just the three post in the rear.

There is a back bracket that would bolt down then slid the cover down into it, then the front bolts down.

I have some intakes lying around, I would trade you one if you want. Don't think I have any covers, but I'll look. But first, are you sure it will fit under your Chevelle hood? Might clear if it's a cowl induction, but I think most people using truck intakes have to leave the cover off.

Got the intake with good gaskets off that same motor. I went FAST 90 on it with car stuff instead of truck. Let me know. I don't need any of it.

Im using the non functional domed hood. When I test fit the engine I didn't have a hat so I don't know if it will fit. Crap, guess I'll have to wait and see. Front end is all off and painted so Im not putting it back on till it's all done...Intake maybe the last thing done....Crap, again.

I've got a truck intake, the bracket that bolts to it, and the engine cover. Make an offer, it's just sitting in my garage.

I'm pretty sure this part no: 12598332 is the vortec max one, though yours is not a 'max' motor. I can double check mine when i get home, it ws $20 from gmpartsdirect. I also have a squared-off looking one that just says Vortec. There are 5 or 6 different hats and not all of them fit all intakes.
