Question Dual Electric Fans---Two Relays...Or Three Relays?

2001 F-Body Computer, with 2001 Dual electric fans. Should they be wired using two relays, or three? And why? (Only one of my fans come on.)Thanks

they can be wired either way. the 2 relay way only allows the fans to operate at one speed. the 3 relay way they run at two speeds.

Wink

2 relay setup operates one high speed fan and one low speed fan.
3 relay operates both fans electrically in series for low speed and one for high speed.

I like the three relay method, as two fans at low speed (run in series) are quieter than one fan at high speed (two relay low method), IMO.

Thanks for the great replies everyone. I have mine wired via two relays & the second fan never comes on, ever...even with the A/C turned on. What could be my problem, or what do I need to do? thanks

Be sure your settings in the PCM file are correct. If you get a stock camaro file and compare you will likely find a difference.
