Default drift car kouki s14 / LS1 / G-force GSR

Hi guys , my name is Pierre-Olivier and im from Canada

last year i started a build to go into drift competition !!! back then i was running a RB26dett (inline 6 twin turbo from a Skyline GTR)

this is how my car was looking 3 year ago with the first engine

1000 miles later it blew ... the engine sized

so i decided to put a new one in the car went all out and forged it !!! the firts one only had pistons in it !!!

it was doing ok for the stock turbo i was running ... went to a couple drift day ... was having a ton of fun ... destroid the car but its all ok , drift car or there for that

here is a vid of my car when it was RB ... just a lil pull

http://youtu.be/NsFarFXR2oY

this winter i had plans to put a mid size single turbo and all the stuff to make it work !!!

but when i opened up the engine to check if everything was ok this is what i found out (all 6 cylinders were the same)

i was so mad that this was my second full forged RB26 that blew ... i decided to part out my engine set-up and go LS1

Later LS1s had LS6 intakes. I'm pretty sure on F-bodies, they had LS6 intakes in '01 and '02. I'm sure the Corvettes from then on did too on LS1 cars. They're worth 15-20 hp over the old LS1 intakes.

Nice. If you are using that trans and the 5.5" triple disk, why did you get a QuickTime bellhousing? You should have just gotten a reverse mount Quarter Master bellhousing. That is way cleaner than using a flexplate for starter engagement. Looking forward to updates.

Protect your legs from what? LOL You are using a 5.5" diameter flywheel and clutch, not a 14" diameter flywheel with a 12" clutch. The need for a blow proof bellhousing comes from the use of big heavy flywheels that can come apart under high RPM use. You don't have those issues with a small diameter clutch.

Your trans also doesn't have a bearing retainer snout. If you used a reverse mount Quarter Master bellhousing you can mount the Tri-light TOB to the inside of the bellhousing. I would also count the number of splines on that input shaft. Hopefully you don't have 3 too many...LOL Many of those transmissions have 29 spline input shafts, which is no big deal you just have to order the right disks from Quarter Master.

Also, a 3 disk 5.5" clutch is going to be pretty much an on/off switch. Hopefully you don't have any illusions about driving this thing on the street. If you wanted some level of streetability I would consider going with a 7.25" 2 disk Rally, or if you have deep pockets then get a 3 disk 7.25" carbon/carbon.

this is a track car only !!! as for the output shaft of the tranny i was supose to be compatible with a corvette clutch ... the friction disque of my stock clutch went on as it should on the output shaft ...

yeah the bellhousing was to protect me from the flywheel exploding ... but when i first ordered the bellhousing (Quicktime) i didn't know witch clutch i would be running ...

now that i have that QM tripple plate and that you showed me the reverse Bellhousing ... im pretty sure i will go with that !!!
