Belt route with ALT only Fbody mount Has anyone done a LS1 with alt only and left it in the stock location? How did you route the belt? Did you swap the idler for a different pulley? I understand how to measure for the belt just not sure how to route the belt?

do it exactly how the red line is. you dont need a grooved idler pulley. youll need a grooved upper tensioner (which is factory). or you can just take the idler pulley off all together. i had it exactly how the red line is but with no idler pulley.
