Default can i go carburated on a '00 ws6

I am building an ls2 416 ci motor and wanting to go carburated. I have a stock ws6 hood. Is there anyway to go carburated without chopping my hood up? Do they make a hood that will allow enough room for the air filter on top of the carb?

Of course you can carburate a LS2. My question though, why? There's no way the stock hood will fit with a carburetor. Should be able to find a cowl hood like one of these:

pretty sure you have to cut the cowl also, depending on the carb/intake setup.
but why would you carb it??????????????

I wouldn't want to carb an LS1, but I would eventually like to put a 383 into a '99.
