Default accessory belt question

Hi,
I have a 1999 4.8 truck engine with a mechanical fan. For my application I would have to ditch it and put electrical fans because of clearance issues.

In order to remove the mechanical fan, can I just replace it with the big pulley that sits in its place on engines with the electrical fan set up? All the other accessories will stay at their place until I make the engine run and see if it works or not. Will I be able to use the same length belt in that case?

Also will this set up work with a LS2 or LS6 intake eventually? Or if I want to use that intake I REALLY have to replace the FEAD set up?

Thanks

Just take the fan off. It unscrews from the water pump pulley.

Thanks, I was wondering if I can do that! It is the easiest solution!

By the way is that Spiff from Calvin and Hobbes?
