Default Can a Sanden Compressor spin the other way??

Long story short, I need to flip my a/c comperssor so that the clutch end faces the engine. This of course would cause the pulley to spin the opposite way, will the compressor still work? If not, is there a way to change it, maybe electrical? Didn't some corvettes come with reverse drive systems, wouldn't they need a compressor that spun the other way, or was that just the water pump? Thanks

I think I can switch the lines so that it pulls and pushes correctly but not sure if the motor will run and be oiled properly. Will call them and Sanden Monday

Perhaps you could grind the pulley smooth and run the belt on the outside so it runs in the normal direction?

Depending on the valving inside, it may not work correctly spinning in reverse.

in doing research, looks like my SD7 only rotates clockwise but they do make ones that rotate counter clockwise, so if I can't find a compressor about 2 inches shorter than my 508, I will have to buy one of those. Anyone know the length of the CTS-V compressor?

spoke with Sanden, it will work in either direction, will just have shorter gear life running in counter clock wise rotation.
