LSX turns on then shuts down within seconds...help!!!!
okay, engine just started acting stupid today. LSx was running fine when it had very high pressure fuel (no fuel return) and only manifolds with no O2 sensors.
Installed exhaust, connected O2 sensors, and corvette filter/regulator with return line. Now car will fire on strong then shut down after a second or two.
Searched all over internet for solutions...tried everything that was recommended...Checked all sensor connections, replaced crank and cam sensors, installed new plugs, checked for spark, checked for fuel at injector when priming pump. Fuel pressure is reading 58psi.
Engine will not stay on...what gives? Help please!

this is rebuilt 5.7
i'm located in Texas
what i mean by high fuel pressure is that there was originally no return line and fuel pressure was higher than it should be (100 psi) but engine seemed to be running fine before i made the modifications of adding exhaust, filter/regulator, and o2s

I'm interested in this as I'm having a similar problem. For me though I'm getting a p0108 or p0107 code. Like you though mine will start for a few seconds and then die. I've got fuel and spark but it dies every time. I've replaced the map 3 times with no affect.

If it ran fine before the fpr install and the O2 install, It cant be the O2s, should start and run in open loop. has to be the fpr. if it was the vatts wouldn't have run before.

i pulled injectors on each side and watched fuel spray from each one while cranking. i'm using psi harness and blue/red pcm from 04 silverado...back up pcm is also blue/red from 02 silverado.

would it turn on at all if there was a loose ground? I'll go check them all again. one mistake might be mistaken connections between map and cam...will look at that also

My car started and idled for about 5 minutes while I was getting ready and taking off the t-tops then just stop running. Of course mine wouldn't restart but it ifs a poor connection or loose ground it might be.
Could it be anything related to when the car switches to closed loop? If so isn't that CKP related?
