LQ4/T56 into 05 Subaru Legacy
I am putting an LQ4/T56 combo into my 05 Subaru Legacy
I will first start off with a little background. I purchased the vehicle in 2009 from an Insurance company as it was totaled. The car was hit on the front right side and all of the suspension components there were damaged. The timing cover also cracked and the timing belt skipped. I rebuilt the car and got it running. I attached some pics of the rebuild and what it looks like now.

After the car was rebuilt I ran it stock for a while and then started upgrading. I upgraded the turbo twice, added a front mount intercooler, methanol injection and many of the other supporting components. The car was in the 350awhp range. I also liked to run at the drag strip and autocross. Last year the car ran lean and blew up a ringland so I tore the motor down and decided to get it rebuilt. I got the motor rebuilt fully forged with all the supporting components and worked on it as I had time.
Then a few months ago we started working on my buddys Miata V8 build (https://ls1tech.com/forums/conversio...nkenstein.html) and I saw all the benefits and decided I wanted to go in the same path and started looking for a motor.

I ended up purchasing an 03 Express Van with an LQ4 and 150k miles on it. I am organizing transportation for it now but my plan is to take the motor, harness, ECU and whatever else I need out of it and then sell off the rest of what I can. I have already purchased the GTO Oil pan that I will need as well as a L76 Intake which will be used with the L92 heads that I plan to purchase. Pic of Van attached

It took a couple of days with the grinder. It was excellent therapy, and well worth the effort!
I almost owned an 05 legacy gt wagon 5 speed. I think that was 1 year only.

Yeah. It was satisfying to drive it around. The crossmember is 3 piece so we are going to support the engine from below and remove the center section of the crossmember and so that we can lower the engine a few inches. We will then pull it out with a cherry picker.
