Default 4.8 fox budget turbo build

Ive been driving my lsx coupe for a few months and it's time to put her under the knife again. I installed a nitrous kit but really wanted forced induction . So I started redoing a few things like cleaning up some wiring, mounted the ecu in the kick panel, fix a few leaks, crack a few unsuspecting fbody/corvette asses..... Now time for a turbo and maybe keep the nitrous kit(never sprayed it yet)

Here are a few pics of what I have so far. 6.0 manifolds cut and ready for vbands. I cut off the egr (ear) also

All welded up. The welders at my refinery hooked it up

I started taking these apart tonight for mock up. The long tubes are out and for sale.
I'm glad I didn't try to mock it up on the engine stand..

The driver side is a little close to the alternator. I think I'll trim the manifold at an angle and weld on a new v band

The passenger side fits good. I'm going to trim a little metal off the sway bar mount

Looking good. As soon as I slap my motor back together I will be going through this same thing. But I am going to try to figure a way to retain ac.

I trimmed the sway bar mount and pulled the bumper and the bumper support off. I might go ahead and get the core support swapped out while everything is apart.

Where do you tap the oil pan for a return line?

There is a connector on the passenger side for oil level sensor.

Ive seen people pull that and thread in a fitting there or pull the pan get one welded in. The higher the better.

If ur putting ur turbo on the drivers side try and put it on the drivers side as well.
