Help me figure out my 570z project!
Motor is about ready to drop in but I still need to locate the last few little things before I do.
I need to replace my power steering pulley. The OEM ones I have found are $65-$105 and that seems ridiculous to me for a pulley. A friend of mine has used a universal one from schucks that was very cheap in his race car but he cant remember the part number. Does anyone know? Or should I just take my bent one down and try to match it?
I also need the steel plate that goes between the engine and trans. Dust shield? It seems to be impossible to find one... any suggestions?
I also need the alternator bracket for a GTO LS1 because the extra pulley and top of the bracket on my motor is snapped off. I will probably just get this from Ebay.

They sell the c6 corvette pulley on ebay for $18 and I have heard it will work. It is metal and not plastic.

Been a while since I posted in here but there has been some progress and I need to get my post count up so I can sell all my extra stuff to you guys who may need it!
The F-body starter worked great on my GTO motor as I was told. Got a fancy pro-comp red one from a friend for free brand new!

Well, I bolted everything up and went to put it in and then realized I had some work to do with my TOB bleed line thing so I took the trans off the motor and went a head and put the motor in.
Took off the front core support, dropped the sway bar and the engine cross member and then just jacked the entire thing up with the engine on it, was fairly easy.
Then once the trans was ready to go on I lowered the engine crossmember slightly and bolted the trans to the bellhousing (bellhousing was on the motor when I installed it)

I discovered that there was no way I would be able to use the f-body BandM shifter I had as it say way to far forwards so I purchased a GTO shifter and shift cup to use instead.
Didnt feel like dropping the entire trans out again to knock the roll pin out for the shift cup so I just drilled a tiny hole in the trans tunnel and put the punch through there to remove the shift cup.
After that the GTO shifter went in easy and lines up perfect with the fueled racing kit that I am using.

I ordered some steel braided fuel lines with AN fittings for my fuel system from Fueled Racing. Came with everything which is nice since the 350z does no use a return system.
The fuel kit came with a corvette filter, all the lines, all the fittings and the return line/fittings. I installed it most of the way, just need to plumb the return line into the tank and its done.

Getting pretty excited as all that is left is the rad/cooling system and then a few misc. things before I get to sent it to Garage Autohero for wiring. (I'm half colorblind, I do not touch wiring)

I have Fueled Racing headers as well as a true dual 3in exhaust set up with some Apex'i mufflers at the end that I got for free with the shell. The exhaust was custom made for the car when it had a 600hp turbo VQ in it. Will probably be really loud with the v8
I also have v-band clamps and flanges for the entire exhaust. Whoop
