Default Caprice LQ4 swap engine tick??

Aye could someone tell me what this noise is from drivers side of engine. kinda sounds like s lifter then again sounds like an exhaust leak. Here is a short video of it. just completed swap this weekend.

man that paint wet, i might have to get to where u went to get mine like that if i dont go with the matte red that be on ferrari's. Clean look to the engine, did you ever figure out what that sound was? Was this a first start, my understanding is that these sometimes have a little lifter/ bottom end noise. i would get that exhaust checked first to be sure tho

yea on a first start it might just be that ls tick everyone usually hears at first. i hear it goes away after about 15 mins or so of running

Sounds a bit loud for a lifter tick. Sometimes a little revving helps to find header leaks.

Thanks guys, Well I took the car to Houston yesterday to get a sunroof put in. Will go get it Saturday morning and hopefully have it checked out by some LS gurus out there while I'm at it. Also got to a point where i thought that it was kinda loud for a lifter tick after listening to my pops silverado. Anyone in the Houston area would like to listen to it Saturday and let me kno what you think?? PM ME. I'll be in Houston Friday night but will pick up my car Saturday morning around 8.

yea i was thinkin that also. it's either a result of the infamous ls tick (which every1 speaks of but i haven't heard yet) or an exhaust leak. shouldn't be too hard to figure out tho, hell the way that boy running i'm pretty sure it aint nothing internal.
