I went with the Speedhut gauges myself. I went with the Legacy speedometer because of the turn signal and high beam indicators built in. I thought about the GPS speedo but decided not to use it. I might be proven wrong on that.

I have it with the signals and etc built in, car isn't running but the gauges are hooked up. They look nice and other than having to wire in the resistor for the tach everything was pretty straightforward.

Yea I didn't need a high beam or turn signal indicator... I wouldn't ever use them anyways... Lol. I wonder if when I order my psi wiring harness I can tell him I've got the speedhut tach and not have to wire the resistor...??

here's a pic from the local cruise earlier this year... Factory 307 with a powerglide... one owner car that was bought at the local dealership.. i still have the orginal title from GMAC... was parked in '87 and i bought it last year. i'm leaving the outside/patina the way it is and swapping the 6.0 in... might do some interior later down the road... but i'm more leaning towards the cruiser/sleeper look...

the custom gauge panel is coming along nice... got my cardboard template lazer cut so i can be sure that the water jet alum piece will fit perfect... getting ready to send my rapid prototype printed accent pieces sent out for hydrographics also... it's gonna be pretty rad... i'm that guy who installs gauges before the new motor... haha....

Looking good. I thought about the hydrographics as they can make anything but I took the cheap route with semigoss black powder coat. Looking at the pictures it is hard to tell but leave enough room at the top where the speedo and tach are going for the Speedhut spin-on locking piece to screw on and fit into the dash. On mine it was real close.

I had to make up my template the old fashion way with a portable drafting board, t-square, rulers, dividers etc.

I just got the signal version because I basically tossed everything electrical that was originally behind the dash.
That's a good question about the new harness, maybe they can work it out for you. Makes me wonder if I'll have to do it with my hp efi stuff.
