Default Source for engines in Wash DC area?

Ok, I have the urge to swap a 5.3 or 6.0 in my 1985 C20. I would rather go pick up my engine local to me, around a 100 mile drive would be fine for me. I need to know if there are any recyclers in the WashDC area that sell good clean drop outs. The used auto parts near me does not pull engines suited for a swap, they just hack the engine out and sell them that way. I would like a low mile GEN IV engine with trans, complete. Any suggestions of a reliable dismantler in the area? Thanks.

There is a huge yard in Bristol PA that specializes in LS pull outs. They go by the name FPARTS on ebay. They have been around quite a while and have a very good rep. Bunches of people on here and other boards have bought from them.

Look up Ripples service in Upper Marlboro...

Put a motor in the girlfriends Explorer last year when it seized up. When I picked the replacement up from them I was sent to a warehouse a couple miles away. When the guy opened the door there were motors from one end of the building to the other, and they had a copuple dozen 5.3s 6.0s and even an immaculate ls2 from a gto. They were all pulled without butchering parts like the yard I think you are talking about... (Brandywine?)

My wife is a manager at pickapartva.com. And cause of that I got my 6.0 for $95 dollars!! So far I have less than $400 in my swap. For the regular folks they pay $200. If your in southern Md. Your about 45min from me and another 20 to pick a part. If ya need any help, ask I'll get you there. But I can tell you that the fredericksburg store has been pretty much picked through. Might try the north stafford location.

I am in MD and I had NO luck finding anything when I was searching. When I did find one, it was either way too much money or wasn't complete. I ended up buying from Bow Auto in NH, and had one shipped here. complete engine, harness, computer, everything was $850 shipped, and it was here literally 26 hours after I ordered it.

I have heard of Ripples, I heard that they do very clean pulls on engines. I will call them.
Brandywine and Andrews auto parts wont do a clean pull with the extras parts needed for a swap.
I would love to have an engine pulled with the original trans, catalytic converters, ECM, wire harness, all hoses, etc.
I think a donor truck would suit me best, I will keep looking around.
