F-body front drive on truck engine
So looks like the iron 6.0's are different than the aluminum ones. There is no hole in the block for the low mount alternator bracket on the iron one. Has anyone run the alt there and if so how, does someone make a bracket? I may just make my own.

You can do it without drilling but only if you have the small bracket that bolts to the back of the alternator to the side of the block.
Its not ideal but I ran mine this way for two years with no problems

Bracket
Here's a pic of my bracket. The write up that was sent is what I did, even though I did not use the bubble level or the other measuring device. I baught my tapping bit from the auto store not as good as the one I got from Home Depot. Also ensure you are using metric drill bit w/ metric tapping bit or standard with standard. It will make a difference.
