Default 93 Sonoma swap

Well I've been driving it for a while and I though some of you might want to see it or ask questions about what I used. Feel free to ask. I put a LM7 and 4l60e in this truck a few months back. I bought a wrecked truck for 6 bills and it had a brand new tranny in it. The motor has 242k on it and still has 50psi oil pressure at idle. I bought carshopinc headers and mounts and used a techrods harness and it worked like a charm. I notched the crossmember and the a/c box. I built my own tranny crossmember, used the driveshaft out of the Silverado along with the throttle cable, heater hoses, overflow bottle, accessories and some wiring. I gotta say, after a little researching, this was a pretty easy job.

I lowered it 1 inch in the front by cutting 1 coil out of the spring and lowered the back with 2 inch blocks and one removed spring. I am putting an 8.5 in it in a few weeks and will use 3 inch drop springs and no blocks. Probably put caltracs on it then too. If you see anything you have a question about, ask away.

I always like the first gen s trucks. How close is that rad hose to the alt? Looks tight. If it was mine I would try find a black grill and toss the chrome one. Still looks good either way. Also no plans to get the a/c going?

It is close but the hose doesn't move at all. The a/c is an absolute must and it will be hooked up. I am gonna use the compressor off of the v-6 and use 1994 s10 a/c hoses and it should all bolt up. The a/c worked very good before the swap and I have every intention of reconnecting it. It was a big deal just to get it running right now because I've been working 12 hr days for 16 months. The weather is nice right now and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel on all this overtime. The a/c and rearend will be done in the next two months for sure.

Wow, I can't believe it's been a year. I did put in an 8.5 with disk brakes and Caltracs. I also connected the A/C. I've driven it about 10K miles and knock on wood, there hasn't been one hiccup. I ran it at the strip and it went 13.50 at 102. Not bad for 250K miles, 3.42 gear and stock convertor. It weighs 3050 with a full tank. I would get in this truck and drive anywhere. I hope everyone else has as much luck with their swap. It was worth every penny, even though I spent more than planned.

What wheel & tire combo is that? It looks like a real clean truck.

15x8 and 15x6. The rear has 4in BS and 275/60/15 and the front has 3in bs and 235/60. Thanks. It's pretty clean for a 20 yr old truck but it's not without blemishes.

I used the factory hole in the firewall where the old harness went to the computer. Passenger side below condenser box. I used the factory grommet to run the new harness inside the truck in the same place. I put the computer in the glovebox.
