Default For those that have done the LTX to LSX conversion, some questions?

I am contemplating this for the future sometime, but I have some questions for those that have done it. Will I be able to keep my air conditioning, that would be a deal breaker for me. Also, with the wiring harness swap, is the ABS still functional? Also, are all the other safety features, such as air bag still functional?

Thanks!

I'm sure that a different compressor is going to be needed also with I know a different alternator and accessories, I just don't know if the rest will work. I just don't want to give up the AC, ABS or air bags.

LOL, I'm old enough that I want the AC for the compfort and the wife will too. I want to keep all of the safety features since mine is strictly a street car and I will be hauling my wife and daughters in it. But it would definitely be easier to delete it all!

You can keep all of the said above stuff but i believe you have to use a ls ac compressor and you can use the stock lines but you have to "modify" them a lil bit to get them to fit correctly mostly just bend the lines to get them to line up.

OK, sounds great, do you know anything about the ABS?

The A/C will work normally, and so will your abs and airbags. If you need anymore help just post up.

We offer the parts needed for you to make the ls harness work with your car, and we also offer brand new plug and play factory fit harnesses for your swap. This includes a new factory firewall grommet.

Great! I was hoping that you would chime in...I was looking at your plug and play harnesses. My LT1 is mint and only has 32K miles and near perfect. I like the LT1, but for the money that I would put into and LT1 to have a stroker built, I would be ahead just to go the LS route. I really want to do an LSX 454 crate motor.
