Default LS in Chevelle oil pan

I found this oil pan kit on ebay, just wondering if it will work in my 70 Chevelle with my engine LQ4 LS3 heads. I have heard there being issues with the dipstick tube.

Thanks

It will work, but I would not recommend it. It is the H3/LH8 or so called Muscle Car pan.. unless your going to mount engine a bit higher (whole set of other problems in doing so) and leave the car at stock height. It is going to hang below the Crossmember.

What have you read that is an issue with the dipstick / tube ?...

That pan is horrible in a Chevelle and most muscle cars for that matter. Don't buy it. If you insist on buying then goto summit(NAL-19212593) and save $30-40 bucks. No known issues with the dipstick.

Buy the F-body(modify it as needed), Holley, Mast, Corvette batwing pan...... just don't buy the GM muscle car pan.

Ive got this pan in my 71, it hangs to low and I have my engine sitting real high. I had to weld a skid plate on the bottom of the cross member. And have needed it on more and one occasion....I used the Holley pan in my 66 and it's a WHOLE lot better. Don't use this one in a Chevelle....

The F-body pan is almost plug n play with Dingo mounts, and sits above the crossmember. That pan is absolutely horrible.

That's what I plan on doing. It seems like the best method.
