Bend a coat hanger to the contour you want, and spend some time at the local ap store..

I've heard the Gates 20734 hose works pretty good, it crosses over to a Dayco 71916 hose which Advance Auto Parts can still get

I just went through a while lot of hoses to try to connect thethe lower radiator to the water pump.... Even that 20734 didn't work! I ended up using a lower house from a 02 tahoe with a 5.3. I trimmed both ends to make it work only issue is that it rubs the frame, it does come come with plastic shield which i kept on it. It's going to be temporarily on for now till i find something that works better.

Gates 20734 hose on an 84 Monte Carlo, he's using non-set back plates. No trimming either, worth a shot imo

yeah I think that will work without the 1 inch setback plates, I have them and the hose didn't work.. gonna buy two lower ls1 f body hoses and a connector and try to make them work..
