LSX S10 Need Help
hey guys
2000 s10
2004 LM4 5.3 from a 04 envoy
2003 4L60E from a 03 4.8 silverado
411 PCM wired to F-Body C1 C2 pinouts with 02 F-body tune
Problems:
gear shift indicator not working on cluster
Transmission Slipping/ sluggish slipping shifts
02's not reading
Heres what i need to figure out.
are the 03 4l60e's not compatiable wth the 02 and earlier pcms?
from what i have read but have not confirmed that 96-02 valve bodys are different than 03-07. does
the pcm im using is the blue and red connector. do i need to get a blue and green connector pcm to control the transmission properly.
im using oxygen sensors off a 04 envoy, is it possible that the 411 pcm is not reading the data from the 02's? im geting a code for no activity from the 02's..

if the harness is from the 04 originally with a blue/ green they are wired a little differently then the red/ blues. I would try that ecu first. Where did you get the harness?

Yes harness was a blue green. Came with the engine which is from a 04 envoy. I depinned it all at the c1 c2. Wired it for blue red for a 99-02 f body. The question is are 03+ 4l60e's able to be controlled from a 02 and earlier PCM? Basically putting a 2003 truck tranny in a 01 Camaro.

For the oxygen sensors there are also alot of different sensors, even ones that ground differently for one application. For example, I am working on a 2001 5.3l truck harness to make standalone, and the 02 sensors are different not only for upstream/ downstream, but also Canada and US built. I see that the part numbers are different between 04 Envoy and 02 Camaro, which may be just a wiring harness/ connector difference, but there is a good chance they are functionally different as they are two completely different engine genrations. Personally assuming all the connections, fuses ect and voltages at the 02 sensor connector checkout, I would buy some camaro 02's.

You likely have a couple of issues. From my memory, and dont take this as fact, the later 4l60E's (approximately 2003 and later) use PWM to control pump pressure and the earlier trans does not. This could be confirmed relatively easily by a line pressure gauge. There are also differences in the PRNDL switch on the transmission itself, even in the same application. I ran into this issue after purchasing a 2002 S10 4l60E for a 1996 S10, switching the switch over solved my problem in that scenario.

For the hell of it i put in a 02 silverado 1500 4.8 4l60e pcm to see if it helped and to see if it was the tune on my tuned pcm and its still the same.. i contacted the guy i got the trans from and checked to see if he had the pcm to the truck this trans came out of and he does. im going to pick it up tomorrow and find out if its blue green or blue red. if its blue green ill have to swap whatever pins i need to swap and try it out.. if the trans still is doing what its doing its toasted and needs rebuilt..
basically it comes down to tomorrow. see what pcm came out of the truck this trans came out of. if its not a 411 pcm then i know what my problem is. if its still a 411 pcm then trans is shot

I know your probably frustrated at this point. Go to the s10forum and paste your first post in a new thread of the lsx section. I can pretty much guarantee and answer with in hours if not minutes.

Well talked to another Trans shop. They claim that the pcs is not different between the yrs. that the PCM should be able to control it fine. So either I need a Trans rebuild or there's something fishy goin on
