Default Identify connectors E38 Truck Harness

Could someone tell me what the two connectors are, that branch off the main trunk, lower center of the picture. The bottom one has a connector similar to the ECM connectors but has no cover and connects to that plate or module. The one above it is gray and blue and the underside is tan oval pin connector.I think I know what they are but I just want to verify.

The one just above the TCM?

That looks like the connector to the body/chassis harness. Might be X109 on the diagrams

The lowest one is a 4L60E TCM Connector, the above one to that is the TAC Module Connector.

I just did a Harness that was identical to that.

The E38 ECM shown in the photo above does not use a TAC module.

That connector has the CAN, MIL, and Accelerator Pedal circuits in it.

The pins for the pedal are in the J1 connector to ECM. These pins are 23,29,30,32,36 and 56.

It appears in lt1swap.com he makes a new branch for the six pedal pins and pedal sensor. But still retains the lower connector which has holder for 48 pins.

No one has named the bottom connector or module.
Here are some more pics of the upper connector.

If that very bottom one had a blue cover that would be TCM for 4L60E.

Yes you can delete that since it will be a 5spd.

That connector above it would be what plugs into the Body Harness going to the Interior..this has the Pedal Wires and the Serial Data high and low wires in it. I have one of them Harnesses in my hands right now looking at it.

FWIW, on my E38 truck harness, the serial data lines were not continuous from the ECM to the x109 connector, but they jumpered inside of the TCM. So if you're planning on running the x109 wires thru the firewall, you'll need to splice them at the TCM if you delete that branch..

The above statement is only true in this instance. The can bus goes to the tcm first on auto trans applications.
