Assuming that the corvette regulator is the common filter/regulator you should not need any more.

Some people do choose to run a pre-filter before the pump. My tank was brand new as well, so I didn't bother. If it was used and had the slightest chance of there being rust or anything in it, I would have added the pre-filter.

My tank pump has a filter on it. So in my case there is a pre filter.

If you were running an inline, yes, a pre-filter would be recommended.

For a In-Tank, it doesn't leave a lot of room for any pre-filters, Make sure you have a new sock on the pump's intake. You can always a post-pump inline filter if you want.

I would recommend you make sure your gas station where you fill up has clean storage tanks and that they test the gas in the tanks as required or a regulator schedule as well as they also change there pump filters.

There are two styles, one the older OEM Style push-on and the newer style which I would recommend, it screws on to secure better.

These are the screw on numbers in blue.
644110 - 5/16"
644120 - 3/8"

They also have them in Black.
644113 - 5/16"
644123 - 3/8"

644020 for the output side, it has an AN on one side and a tube with a barb on the other.
(suggest you double check these numbers.. )
