Default 68 camaro lsx swap rookie questions

So I have started my swap in my 68 camaro originally a small block. So far I have the 4.8 that I plan to boost after the kinks of the swap are first worked out. I have adjustable mount plates on the way. The oil pan is from a truck Ive seen lots of back and forth, will it work? Its a budget build so keep that in mind please. Also on the way is the walboro 255 inline. The truck intake has the reg built onto the rails correct? I have the truck harness and newish wireharness in the car. Ive searched quite a bit and just cant seem to fine exactly how to get the charging system head lights etc to work with the ls engine. Am I just going to have to run a pin to the ls computer or a few pins feeding back to factory fuse box in the car? If someone could point me in the right direction on that I could start moving on the wiring as I wait for parts and let the funds build again. I am as of now anyway planning on pulling the unneeded pins from the truck harness. Not being a wire kinda guy well have to see how that works out. Any help is greatly appriciated.

Im in the same boat you are. People have used the truck pans but I think they would come very close to the ground. Im going to use a cts pan in my chevelle but you have rear steer?

Yes my thoughts are if you have the engine back day 1" from the original mounting point I wonder if the Pan will work. When the plates get here ill give it a shot I also have a fbody pan but I have seen over and over that has to be notched. Just trying not to spend the 400 on the holley pan although I have a feeling ill end up there. Have you wired yours up yet? Or figured out what your doing with your wiring set up?

The truck pan hangs about 2" below the cross member...I used the Holley pan.

I went with a carb, so I'll pass on the EFI stuff LOL

I need to figure out if I can use the truck rails with a turbo also. It has a built in regulator but not sure how it works.

The new Holley 302-2 Pan is specifically made for 67-69 F-Bodies and 68-74 X-Bodies.
Fitment is great!

Yes, if you have all the EFI stuff it is easier to go that way. For me all I had was a shortblock, so it was cost prohibitive.
