LS3 waterpump heater hose routing
Okay, after a lot of searching there is no clear answer. I need to know those of you running an LS engine and vintage air. Which heater hose goes to the inside heater core for the vintage heater core valve? I have seen people say both size outlets, but no clear answer. Thanks
Please only reapond if you have a vintageair heater core valve and you know it functions correctly.

I used this diagram for L92 and vintage air setup. I had an issue where the valve was leaking hot coolant and killing my AC efficiency.

And these directions:

Note I bought the new plastic housing servo controller to replace my broken metal housing version.
I don't think direction matters except flow vs. The valve which is directional. Set it up to fill heater core from bottom if there is a top and bottom fitting that way it self bleeds.

Installation of the valve isn't an issue, I have installed a good amount of vintage air systems. Just none of them with a LS driveline.
Lets get some more responses to verify your findings.
Thank you for the response.

Since we all know the small line is out(at pump) and the big line is in(at pump) and the LSX engine needs flow through both lines, I'd have a 4 port heater bypass valve hooked up. That way the tstat has proper flow to work correctly. Some have has no issues with blocking the port, but most have.

No. I'm going to use a 4port vacuum operated valve. Had vintage air setup in my 68 Camaro SS. It was a 396 and the directions that were posted will work for sbc or bbc, not lsx.

I have a VA Gen III unit in my Maverick. As stated, the smaller line from the pump goes to your VA heater inlet barb. I have no flow through the heater loop when the (VA) heater control is turned off. It's no problem for me, I live in a flat area, but some peeps who drive in mountains have experienced overheating when flow is blocked through the heater loop as it is when the heater is in the "off" position.
