Default 86 pontiac t-1000. sure, why not.

So plan for this thing is a full chassis build with a destroked ls7 headed 350 cubic inch LS thing. Should make for interesting times. Still ironing out on which direction i wanna go with the frame work. But its gonna get tubbed regardless, new front frame section and so on.

350 inch ls7 headed LS engine
TH400 trans
9" rear
15x12 weld magnum rims tire size not figured out yet

Pretty much where im at now. Ran out of daylight ECT, BUT 3/4 of the interior is out. within the next week or so im going to yank the motor, trans, gas tank and anything else thats useless. just get it into a rolling shell for now then go from there. Front seats and carpet are also out. just didnt get a pic of it.

As of right now i am thinking about this chassis and using the shell of the car. Seems to be the best option and i can put a funny car cage setup into it and add on as needed.

Custom aluminum rods from FFWD connection. 6.5370 legnth. This is there Vader series rod. Very killer rods. Waiting on them to be made up, I cannot wait to get these rods.

Makes me think of Rick Dobbertin's J2000. Use this as inspiration.http://www.hotrod.com/features/histo...vy-350-engine/

What is that in the rod cap protruding in the center of the bearing? Looks like a tiny jet? Is this for forced pin oiling? If so, how does it get to the pin?

spin pin its called. stops the bearing from spinning. rod caps are also doweled with 4 dowels. with the rpm the engine will see this was the direction i was going hands down.

so that should make for a tight fit. hoosier slicks, 32x14.5x15" wheel. i will be running one size tire below this once the car is together. got these real cheap so i have something for mock up.

Little update on this i am going later on today to purchase the head castings i have been wanting to start on the top end. Rods are on order and should be machined out here shortly. Pistons got new skirt coating, cyro treated and were check and are ready for use.

Heads will be All pro LSW 12-2 heads ported for my application and chamber size. Goal is minimum of 13.0:1 compression at this point. As of right now i will also be using a All Pro single plane dominator intake. Unless i fall into money and can purchase a Sheet Metal tunnel ram style intake.

Goal is 1000 horsepower on motor from 350 cubic inches. Not worried about street performance. This is strictly a track motor. Only thing it is going to do it race on the track thats it.

Also for the time being i got rid of the hooriser tires i had for the back and the weld magnums. They will fit but i want the frame rail wider for stability. I am going to end up running a smaller size tire which will still be giant on the car.

We're showing OUR age just acknowledging that we know who Rick Dobbertin is and referencing some of his builds ! I love that this entire hot rodding culture has and will never go away. Great success with the build, sounds like You're planning and executing well so far

Thank you man! its been something i have wanted to do for a long time now. Heads are ordered. Just time now waiting for them to get finished ect. I know all the parts from here on out with the exception of the cam specs. Just time and money now.
