The crossmember supplier has reported that they will be delivered by the end of this month. The 1-3/4" painted version of the headers are on the shelf and available on the Holley website and the others are in process; the header part numbers are also starting to pop up on Summit's site I noticed this morning. The exhaust systems will be the last products of this application to hit the shelf and that should be by the middle of next month.

Thanks for your patience and commitment to these new Hooker products 82streetshow. Please help spread the word about them on other forums you may happen to frequent...I'm running out of bandwith in my own efforts to get the word out.

Default Hooker 73-87 C10/C20 LS swap selection guide

Here's a document we put together to help those interested in this new Hooker LS swap system application simplify the parts selection process. Let me know if there's any information left unclear that needs to be addressed.

when I first did the swap 5 years ago there wasn't a lot of options and still aren't today. This set up looks a lot nicer than what I have going so I'm eager to give it a shot.

Glad to have you on board, I'm sure you're going to appreciate the same system approach we utilized to design these components as our other swap application parts over the last two years. Your swap experience and finished results are going to be much different from the last time you went though the process, and much less frustrating as well.

Might be a typo on the web page for the crossmember:

"High-strength low-allow steel construction"

Alloy?

The statement as a material is correct, but I think you are correct that it may be a typo in relation to this particular crossmember application. Many of our crossmembers are constructed from ASTM A-572 grade 50 "HSLA" steel to meet a designed strength requirement while staying under a maximum weight threshold, but I believe this particular one is constructed from A36 steel. There's a good amount of cutting and pasting that the graphics guys use to put these documents together before they send them to me for proofing and It would be my fault for not catching that detail. Thanks for mentioning it so I can get it edited.

Order placed for motor mounts, trans cross member, headers and exhuast.

Tell Mr Grillot to get cranking on the headers and send a pair back to the QCA!

Thanks for steppin' up. The mild steel 1-3/4" headers are on the shelf and ready for purchase in the painted, silver ceramic and black ceramic finish options. I'm waiting for an update on the completion dates for the 1-7/8" headers and the crossmembers and will post up the info when I get it.

The same clear zinc finished flanged head bolts are included with all versions of the Hooker LS swap headers.

No problem, glad to be able to help. Things are coming together on the exhaust systems as we are currently building the first production run of the 3" systems now and the 2.5" systems will follow just after. It's nice to see all the Squarebody related action taking place at the shop.

I'd say no If I had to guess on that. The way things are lining up in the final stretch tells me the stainless version of the headers will be the last thing that becomes available. The supplier of the crossmembers is behind schedule slightly, but they called me on Monday to get a copy of the weld schedule so they could weld them up. That puts them close to being able to be sent out for powder coating. I will request a status update again on Monday and fill you in will some more details.
