Default 93 s10

I had a build thread on here for this but I changed direction on it, sold most of the parts and lost picture links so im just starting over...

its a 93 s10 I drove my senior year of high school. Parked it with around 60k miles. Got married, had a son, bought a house, remodeled house, ect... After 12 years of sitting in a storage garage and tinkering every now and then its in the garage at our house and im off to work..

As it sits now.

Using these wheels...

From the picture it looks like it fits fairly well....

it doesnt..

Going to start the mini tub this coming week if work allows it. Using a S&W back half kit( 4-link) all under the stock bed floor.

using a 6.0 iron block, getting forged internals, and some other odds and ends for bOOst. Its backed by a 4L80E.

If you look real close behind the bikes you can make out the 8.8 thats going in it haha

I'll try and keep up with pictures as I go with this thing.

Wish I could get more done, Work is making it hard to get anything accomplished.
Did manage to get the front hubs to the machine shop to get turned down so it hasnt been a complete bust.

No real big update but.. I found a 4L80E in a local craigslist ad. After talking to the guy and making offers I picked up up for $150!!! Weather here sucks right now (snow snow snow) so he hasnt got it out of the truck yet. Gave him $75 deposit so im pretty pumped I got it so cheap!

After looking at lower control arms and prices and not wanting to spend more on them than I already have I decided to use the ones I had and alter them a little...

When I get my coilovers ill make the mount in the lower arm for them to bolt to.

Also I went and got my trans today...

Sub'd as I'm gathering parts for a 1st gen s10 lsx swap. Did the brake swap come as a kit or are you piecing it together? I noticed you said you were going 8.8 in the rear. Are you narrowing it or is it narrower than your stock rear?

Glad to see another 1st gen getting the swap. It wasnt a kit. I bought the brake pieces and made the brackets. I am using an 8.8 in the rear. not sure yet on width as I haven't got the mini tub done to see just what I need. however with that said, the stock axle is 54.5" and the 8.8 is 59.5" but im running an 11" rear wheel so its hard to tell what ill need to do with it.

Looks like a great start! I am looking into doing a similar front brake swap, but with Camaro brackets.
