Default 64 c10 ls swap radiator and fuel questions

What radiator did you use? Stock with ls1 fans?
And what about the fuel? Did you use a 5.3 truck sending unit?

Alright cool. Now do I have to mess with the harness any?
Im trying to get the truck on the road asap and cheap as possible.
No heater no ac no body work Just turn signals brake lights and headlights.
I bought a 72 frame. modifying the horns and sticking my 64 body on it. 5 lug power steering and disk brakes.
Does the 5.3 power steering work or will I need to use the 72 power steering ?

im not sure. I saw it on here with several builds. Probably 87 & newer but I would do measure what your space is. I know trimming on rail lip a bit was required to drop in back there. I would see if 95 & newer is plastic? as they did have rust issue with cover on bottom of them holding water. Plus 95 & newer should have same size hole for like silverado pump for correct pressure.

the 5.3 pump works just change out valve on back with old style then no line thread issues at all. may have to tweak metal part of line but no big deal.

I used an aluminum radiator intended for a ls swapped '69 camaro
it gave me passenger side inlet and outlet which made hoses super easy.

I would use the radiator again, but I'd get the manual trans model without the cooler inside and use a stand-alone trans cooler and fan unit mounted under the cab.

I also used a '69 camaro gas tank for an ls-swap (spectra?) and i don't recommend it. The fuel level sender required a resistor and still isnt very accurate. It's hard to fill (flip down license plate) and the tank's slosh bucket uncovers and the truck fuel starves any time i go around a freeway on ramp at less than half a tank. Also the pump that it came with was a turd and died immediately. I also lost my trailer hitch putting it there, and I really didn't realize how useful it was.

some of the later GM work trucks 1 ton & 1 ton hd has a secondary tank assembly that accepts later Gm pump assemblies. might be worth checking into as they be cheap and fit in frame rails.
