Default Fuel pump relays

I just changed the harness in my 79 ls2 mustang it originally had a Speartech reworked stock 2007 corvette harness but some wires got singed and I decided to go with a BP automotive harness, beautiful product by the way, any way I'm trying to get his relay to trigger my relay which is mounted in the trunk near the fuel pump which is the way you should do it I'm told. I think the Corvette computer provides the ground to the relay so does anyone know how to wire this up right now the way I have it the pump runs continnually, sorry but electrical is just not my strong suit. Andrew with the 67 Cougar are you out there?

The PCM puts out 12v to the fuel pump relay. Fan relays are grounds.

Default fuel pump relay

ok so his harness has one 14 gauge wire which he has labeled "this the 12v switched power supply that will turn on your fuel pump when the pcm requests the fuel pump" where should this wire go, and by the way the reason why I'm asking here is he does not return phone calls and when you do call he says to send an email which just send an auto reply of something about were working on stuff as fast as we can????? A really nice product but could sure use some customer support.

I have a bp harness also (that I converted to stand alone) and the gray wire is the 12v power wire to hook up directly to the fuel pump.

Factory color for that wire is green with a white stripe, probably what he uses? Anyway, that wire would go to terminal 85 on the relay, 86 to ground, then constant hot to terminal 87, and then terminal 30 will go to the wire going to the fuel pump.

was easier than I thought, once I knew his gray wire (terminal 87) went to the pump I just hooked that wire to my relay terminal 86 and now it works as its supposed to. I guess they're in series ?, what had me confused was the wording he used for the wire, about it being hooked to 12v switched power, I mean his fuse box is already hooked to 12v switched. Anyway thanks for the help guys.
