Did you end up cutting the cross-member or did the engine and adapter plate clear somehow? I really like how you didn't have to cut up the spoiler and the latch still works.

I cut part of the center out and made up a 1/2 6061 plate on the bottom tied into the bottom braces. Also bleneded in the inside and added some reinforcements there. Im not sure if i have a pic of it before i put it in.

Well my engine is running again! Pretty much figured it was way lean down low at start up. 5 weeks of checking and waiting on a local guy with a tuner to show. Finally took it 1.5 hours to anouther guy who fixed the tune. Also had a weak block to chassis ground causing some problems.

Well all i have been doing is chasing water leaks in my water pump adapters going into the block. Nothing i have done will stop them from leaking, liquid teflon, rectorseal and a harding thread sealer ....no effect. So i have ordered a ls3 stock pump and it is going on as soon as it gets here.

I also wired the fans to the ls so they are working now.

Also does anyone know what the blue Porsche wire on the alternator is looking for? I hooke mine up to the ls alt wire but the dash display still shows a battery failure. But the gauge shows charging voltage. Thanks in advance for any ideas?

If that's position "b" thats where its at. My harness only has one wire on the alt plug , orange on position b. Getting the battery/generator failure on dash display. Maybe the porsche is looking for something more.

The Porsche Harness or the GM harness ?The GM alternator I have has 3 wires .One of which is for the idiot light .The 1999 Porsche via the blue wire is looking for the idiot light connection to the alternator .The blue wire when connected to the alternator grounds the idiot light when the key is on -engine off- and supplies 12 volts when the engine is running and the alternator is working .If you have a terminal on the back of the alternator that will take 3 or four wires more wiring is needed as well as the proper plug .If there is no terminal on the back of the alternator ...........I don't know

The gm alternator has a terminal marked l for the light and that is what the blue wire should connect to .The blue wire serves two purposes -turn off the idiot light by providing 12 volts when engine runing (I misspoke on the grounding) to counter the 12 volts from the ignition on to the idiot light .Two 12 volts is effective 0 at the idiot light .The second purpose is to tell the abs and traction control the engine is running .

My gmpp harness only has one wire from the plug, it orange. The stock plug from it had 3. If the porsche blue wire is looking for 12v then that is the problem because iirc the gm wire is a 5v reference. Thanks guys

The blue wire wants to see ground with key ON engine OFF. With engine running and alt charging the blue wire sees 12v which shuts off the charge idicator light. The problem is some alternators use the lamp circuit to turn on the field circuit in the voltage regulator. Which alternator are you using. W
