Outlaw 996 Porsche build

Mine is apart now also, but it was showing good charging voltage on the dash volt meter. I did check the wire from the alt back when i first started it but i don't remember what voltage it was putting out. I will have to do more testing when i have the water pump back on. If the porsche is looking for 12v then testing the ls alt wire will tell the tale.
Thanks

Well i removed the water pump adapters and the pipe/hoses running to them. Nothing i tried to stop them leaking worked so in the trash they went.
Wanted to run the LS2 pump but it interfered with my intake tube so I ordered a LS3 pump.
So far it is working and looking much better and no leaks.
Ran the stock tensioner and mounted the idler on the other head.
Yep a little close to the tube but thats how it has to be.
I still need to finish tidying up the balzecut but zip ties will take care of that.
Fingers crossed test drive soon........

Backed it out of the shop at 730am and let it run for about 15min and no leaks! Stayed about 180/185 deg. for that time and it was then that I decided it was time for the first drive. Only went about 2mi but it went smooth, stayed cool and the power is great. Im pretty sure it would smoke my old z06.
Next its time for a/c, it going to get hot real soon..

I put the LS3 525 in mine. Its fast, but I thought it would feel faster. It still has stock exhaust manifolds and the factory tune. Hoping I'll pick up some power when it goes to the tuner.

My Dirty Dingo a/c mounts and compressor showed up yesterday. Got it mounted today and got my list of hose and fittings made up.
Get that stuff ordered asap.....
Lousy cell pics....
Running out of real estate FAST......

+1 for Dirty Dingo products.. My A/C fitting block showed up this week with the headers and probably would have been smart if I had these before making my brackets. I ran into some clearance issues but nothing that a little re-engineering and cutting can't resolve.
Are you planning on running a catch can?
Agree, space starting running out quick and everything gets a little tighter towards the end but still more simplified than dealing with anything on a 911 engine. Simply drop the bumper and all the accessories are right there with easy access.

Todd, as of now no catch can i will wait and see if it needs one.
The DD brackets fit good but i needed some clearance with a water hose so I cut off the square nub on the block and mounted the top bracket flat.
That ment i needed a new belt but i got that today. I have to say that the tensioner seems a lil weak for a belt with the load of an a/c compressor on it.

Regarding wiring and gauges does the 996 use the same 4 plug sensor that has the oil temp and oil level (6-9" rod)? Temp sensor wiring is pretty straight forward but was curious what signal or value the factory ECU is looking for to bypass the error message.
