Will PCM lock the Torque Convertor of a 700R4?
Can the PCM be used to lock the torque convertor of a 700R4 when mated to an LS1? If so, does anything need to be done to simulate the sensors that would normally be sent from the trans?

Launching!
I am installing a 4l60e and I am connecting the car side wiring into the brake switch that is used to lock up the torque converter.
I suggest you talk to John Spears at SpearTech to learn what needs to be done to make the 700r4 work with the PCM.

I know there are alternatives to using the PCM but I'd like to have the PCM do it so that I do not have to worry about it like I did when I wired our Diesel K5 Blazer with a manual switch. I'm wondering if the LS1 PCM locks the PCM the same way the 700R4 PCM's did and if the trans info is necessary for the PCM to do it.

We sell a stand-alone lockup kit for the 700R4
If you are in need of a 700R4 controller, we make a standalone harness that does it all for you. 35.00 . Relay included.

My 700r4 is from a 1986 S10 Blazer 4x4. It only has the two wires for the TC solenoid. So I don't believe it provides any kind of signal to tell when it is in 4th gear. How does this $35 harness know when to lock the TC?

NX74LS6,
Are you using a reprogrammed PCM? Or a manual PCM? Or a stock automatic PCM? If you are using a stock 4L60E PCM does it cause problems that the PCM does not get the correct signals from the trans?
