Default Park Neutral Switch

What are you guys doing for your park/neutral switches with automatics?

I read soemwhere that theres a switch that can be installed on the transmission itself, why didnt the f-bodies use it? Is it big and bulky?

whenever you buy your shifter, the switch should be included. If you're making your own (junkyard) shifter setup, you can buy a microswitch and make it work. It' s the same little switch used with nos kits.

So a standard neutral safety switch will work? Using a B&M Quicksilver, FWIW.

As long as it lets the pcm know when it's in park/neutral, you're good to go! I wired up the wires from the switch on my cheatah shifter to the harness on my car that used to go to the stock shifter, works! Now I just dont have reverse lights

Okay, so it is just a regular old neutral safety switch. Is it supposed to be a switched ground, or switched 12V? Which prong to the ECU?

Hope the pics work. If not, if you have the VATS turned off, and give the starter solenoid power ... vroom!
