I've been thinking the same thing. I tried a few searches, but didn't come up with anything. I'm not terribly attached to the 4th Gen F-Body anyway. Once I break the 7.5 rearend in my car and the spare one that I have, I will look into this a little closer. I think I can pull it off for a little more than the cost of a aftermarket rearend for the Camaro.

Note he said LT1 .. not LS1 .. That's really the same as a SBC in a Fox, which has been done probably 1.3 million times.. Maybe more.. Just pick up the SBC swap K-member and drop it in.. Not sure about headers, SBC swap headers might be the wrong angle.

what advantage would an LTx have over a SBC or an LSX? none. just get a SBC and a fuel injection setup or go with an LSx.

Agree. Seems like a waste of effort. All that trouble just to have problems with optispark

something different??? put a Viper motor or Hemi in it, that'll be different. how about a Honda motor? or.......or.........or........or just put in anything you want, i doubt it will be too different, but go for it. personally, i'd do the lsx for the weight savings if nothing else.
