Default Gauge pics, paint it or leave it?

Here are some pics with the gauges installed. I never realized how big 5" gauges are. I am thinking about painting it black, what do yall think?

IMO it would look better as is but you think there would be any chance of sun glare off the surface?

I'd paint it. Not just for the glare but because it'll look more like it belongs.

I tend to agree. If this was a race car I would prpbably leave it alone, but since it is a street car I will paint or powder coat it.

Paint it. The contrast will look very nice.

I few ideas or options

Leave it.
Paint it.
Custom paint to go with the color of the car and pin strip it
Powder coat it (many colors there also)
Chrome or plate it
have it machine finished
Cover in Carbon Filber

Cant really tell if its aluminum or not, but if it is, it would look really nice black anodized.

It is aluminum. I was thinking that also. I will get some pics of it sitting in the dash this weekend. Thanks all. Josh

flycut and andozied would look really sharp, altho it might look too much like a 2nd gen transam dash . Flycutting might be hard since the panel is already bent... brushing might be easier. Just something to give it a texture--there's a lot of empty boring metal there that a texture would really liven up.

I had a buddy in college do a very similar panel for his Chevelle, and he bead blasted it and painted it flat black. The gauges looked great, but the panel itself was really unimpressive, even though it fit perfectly and every hole & edge had been perfectly milled.

How 'bout some wood grain Mac-Tac?
Just kidding of course, sort of. You could try different coloured vinyl overlays. Most sign shops stock a good variety of colours.
Other than that, I would think black anodized would look good.
