Chevy Ii + 6.0 + Vortech :)
Well like the title says I am putting a 6.0l into my 63 nova with a vortech v2 system with 7.5 lbs of boost(for now). My only problem is space. I am checking tomorrow if it will clear the hood with the truck bracket from vortech but even if it does it will be super tight. Has anyone else crammed a centrifugal supercharger under your hood with an ls1? Before if get flamed I did a search but found nothing pertaining to a smaller classic. Post pictures if you have any and I will do the same once i get mine going.

I have a 63 with an ls1 and it cleared the stock hood with alot of room to spare, no super charger though. I also have a heidts front clip. With out the front clip I think it will be SUPER tight to get all of that in there. Anything can be done though.

I dont think you will run into any problems with the setup you mentioned. My car right now has TONS of room with the Heidts front end and the ls6 manifold. I am swapping over to a FAST this winter though. There is a lot of room from the top of the hood to the top of the intake as well as plenty of other room in the engine bay for the super charger. I cant say it wont be tight, but I am pretty sure everything will fit. If you want engine bay pictures or anything please feel free to pm me.

Btw, what are you guys running for headers. I still haven't found a good longtube or shorty or fenderwell header for the ls1 in the chevy II. I am putting a na carb Victory jr LS1 and want to run some nice headers.

The only headers that I've seen so far that I'll be getting are the Hooker 2312 through 2315 shorty, i think they have them in black, ceramic coated, polished stainless, and chrome plated.

I think they were about 370 coated from Summt. The steering stuff I got from Borgeson I think it has been a few years. I do know they purchased my old steering box and shaft from me which helped out.
