It would help to know just what you have in possession; Ex: engine and trans or just engine, what year engine, etc. Do you have all the major components for the engine? It’s important to know what GenIII /GenIV you would like pointers on. I’m in the process of putting a 5.3 LM7 in an 87 GMC, and I can tell you from experience, the wrong information can be very costly. So I’d like to help you avoid a really big headache.

Read the fourms at ls1truck.com

They have forums dedicated to these swaps.

Like Tim said, there's a concentration of people & information on the LS1Truck.com site that have performed this swap into the 1988 thru 1998 C-1500 Chevy trucks. Its all there. AND...Its all here as well...by using the search feature...mostly in the Conversions & Hybrids section. There is just too many things in this swap to just quickly scan over with advice. Fire away with a more specific question & you will more likely get better help.

http://www.eadperformance.com/swapheaders/

I think those are the only pictures I have up right now. I was going to produce those headers for swap people, but there was not enough interest.

*Edit*

Found the other pictures: opps wrong link again...here is the correct link: http://www.eadperformance.com/pics/ls2truck/

Ignore the dirty truck, at the time I lived on a dirt road....

Since the pictures, I have obviously installed the long tube headers, installed '05 Truck Efans, made a custom steel air intake pipe instead of the plastic '03+ truck intake, cleaned up some of the wiring etc...
