The Chevelle runs
My Chevelle is finally running, the conversion from 350/350 to LS1/T-56 took almost two years.
Thanks to everyone who have contributed with their invaluable tips and ideas.

Engine
2000 LS1 from a Trans Am, deleted emissions stuff: secondary air, EGR, EVAP stuff, catalysts. Unmodified F-body oil pan
Trans
T-56 with shifter moved to the forward position
Clutch
LS7, stock F-body hydraulics with drill mod
Engine mounts
Stock F-body engine mounts, frame mounts fabricated from flat steel
Trans crossmember
Stock Chevelle with bracket moved down for correct driveshaft angle. Trans mount stock TH350. Crossmember bolted to frame in existing holes, I guess that this location is meant for the TH400 trans. Park brake cables for TH400 are a perfect fit.
Engine location
High enough to clear centerlink and inner tie rods at full steering lock. Engine offset approx 5/16" to the right for improved alternator/steering gear clearance. Right cylinder head clearance to firewall is approx 1". Unmodified F-body oil pan clears the crossmember by approx 3/4".
No A/C
Trans tunnel was raised by 1 1/2". I also moved the firewall indent above the trans tunnel upwards by 2" to get extra space for the oil pressure sender, MAP sensor, power brake vacuum connetion, wiring...
I already had a Tom Lee steering box, and had him adjust the power steering pump output pressure for the A-body box. A local hydraulic hose guy made a custom pressure hose.
Exhaust manifolds are stock F-body, I had to grind the flange on the right hand manifold for frame clearance.

Radiator hoses
Cut pieces from different hoses, used stainless steel tubing and clamps to fit the pieces together. Also made a stainless steel reducer with an inlet for the throttle body steam vent for the upper hose.
Throttle cable stock Trans Am, modified Chevelle accelerator to accept new cable.
Fuel pump in tank, made a sump with a stainless steel bowl welded to to bottom of the tank.
Stock Chevelle fuel line, welded on flanges for 3/8" GM quick connectors. Corvette filter/regulator. Fuel rail turned around and modified inlet to run the supply fuel line from the stock Chevelle outlet in front of the frame crossmember.
Rear end 12-bolt posi with 3.31 gears. Drive shaft 3" custom length aluminum from Inland Empire Driveline.
ECM is mounted on the firewall inside the left front fender using the Trans Am bracket. I had to dent the inner fender slightly for clearance.
I guess that this covers most of the important stuff, but if someone is interested in more details feel free to ask.

Well, I guess that it's a combination of the above. Started out by reading through John B's Monte Carlo swap and went from there. Clearly, without the support from everyone at LS1 tech the swap would not have been possible.
