ha, north dakota..... aka bumfuck.
.
.
.
ok so I didn't get to go the track the other weekend like i had planned on because the ******* didn't get my windshield done, so that pist me off

so hopefully get there for the next street legal

anyway, just got my boost controller on. It is a hallman, and paid a little extra for the ceramic ball and extra spring

I didn't think the car could spool faster but i can definitely tell it does with the addition of just the BC

Bumped the car to 10psi now, honestly can't believe how much power these motors pick up on every pound of boost, it is nuts

as always, i like it nice and simple

and some will probably hate on me for this but whatever

my aluminum hood had a nice dent in it.... so i got rid of it.... and helped evacuate air in the process

FYI this picture does not lie....

with tape strips hanging off the edge of the vents you can very easily tell that there is a good volume and velocity of air coming up and out the vents when you are at speed

it always makes me LOL when people jack the back of the hood up and think that is going to help anything.....

and it gives the gawkers an idea what is under the hood, haha

needs some actual paint now

Looks good IMO. Could you explain that flow profile a little better for me? What i dont get is the arrows that point away from the car...

It looks like it is showing that air enters through the grill and then become pressurized as it tries to escape from the under hood area.

Pointing towards the car is positive pressure.
Pointing away from the car is negative pressure.
The distance of the arrows indicates difference in pressure.

did a log to show how the E30/meth/water is running

remember this is on e30 fuel with a 10.3:1 CR motor with some decent timing as you can see without any problems

for the HP level it is at i should probably be running two 8ghp injectors not just one, but it runs really well right now so

if you look at the log times from the beginning to the end you will see it took right at 7 seconds for that pull... i rolled into it a little bit so i didn't spin. And i didn't top 3rd out because that is too sketchy on the my road. the 2>3 shift puts you right in the 95-98mph area

Boost is just a PID and that is why it is sort of unstable, if you look at the MAP you can see how stable the boost actually is

oh and i heart HPT

hey guys, haven't updated this for awhile

got the car to the track 2 times

should have been better but i was killing my $2 summit converter... 25-30 percent slip on the dyno

first time was just a local 1/8 mile one....... prep was meh but some

best was a 6.64 @108 with a 1.54 60ft leaving on 1psi with 17 DR's

leaving on anymore than 1psi was my traction limit, even though i can footbrake to full boost

8psi no IC

.
.
.

next time was a 1/4 but it was a street legal with no prep..... traction was non existent as you can see

I had slicks this time and could cut better than a 1.6x.... sad

only a couple passes before i got kicked.... best was a 10.37 @ 134 with a 1.61 60ft even with getting out of it and back in

8psi again no IC

funny the STi has a $15k Cosworth motor.....lol

I decided to pick up a new set of done up LSA heads from Richard at WCCH...... SS valves...... dual springs..... 350+/240+ flow #s... .. large 75cc chambers

Richard was great, very very helpful and always available to talk. So a +1 for him

and their work speaks for themselves as why i went to them

So i have a like new set of stock LSA's here if anyone would be interested

static CR will be 9.9 now instead of ~10.6 like the stock chambered L92's were... have to love E85 though.... even with the previous high CR and no IC.... no det problems

Well getting more done

I am very pleased with how the new front end is coming together with the new and improved radiator and the addition of a FMIC

I have gained another 3" of room forward......... and only two bolts to remove the IC, and only two bolts to pull the radiator (holes not drilled for that yet)

the rad sits on a 1/2" pad of rubber
