4WD and 4WD low with 2000 5.3 and 4l60e
there is a 4wd low wire going into the computer, i and putting this setup in a jeep, do i need to use this wire to get the tranny to shift right in 4wd low? and what does the other 4wd wire do? there is a 3 pin plug brown, black/white, and gray/black that is near the computer, the 4wd wires go to it. i have heard of people having tranny problems in 4 low on these swaps.
thanks

its the chevy np231c, so you have no problems with it shifting funny when you have it in 4wd low? i had to use the chevy transfer case for my vss to hook up right, the jeep one had a different signal

No problem at all. i use 2 vss. one for the ecu and one for the dakota digital instr. Of course it's not the same signal. Why make it easy? Lol. Hmm i only think this wire you have in the ecu is for the 4 low lamp. What's the year of the ecu and the wire harn?

I think Chris is probably right. It's probably just for the lamp. I'm using the Jeep's OEM lamp and np231 sender for the lamp output. I'm also using two VSS signals. The one at the AA tranny output shaft feeds the ECM. The np231 VSS output drives my autometer elec speedo.
