Fuel system testing
I went to go flush and test my fuel system for leaks. I figure since I made up new lines and everything, I'd flush them first to make sure there wasn't any left over rubber or metal bits inside of it, then hook it up to the fuel rail so it would pressurize and make sure all of the fittings are leak free.
I'm using a tank and pump from a 2000 T/A. So I get the wiring diagram and find out what wires are the power wires for the pump (none of the truck is wired yet). I used a battery charger to give a 12v signal to the pump. I can hear it come on, but no gas at the fuel rail. I then disconnected the fuel lines at the filter/regulator...still no gas. I disconnected the lines at the outlet of the tank...guess what...no gas.
So I take the pump/sending unit out. When I apply power I can hear it trying to work, but it sounds like it's frozen. Normally I'd expect to hear a high pitch wine if it were pumping.
Does this sound like I need a new pump to everyone? The tank/pump was sitting outside for awhile, and hasn't been used in probably at least a year.
Anything else I should check before getting a new pump.
Oh, there is also some rust on the top of the pump.

yeah, vette regulator/filter
well when I disconnected the fuel line before the regulator, I still wasn't getting fuel. I'm pretty sure the pump is just siezed up.
